The Eucharist as the Principal means of Communion

We the people of Grace Church believe the Eucharist is the principal means of Communion with our Lord.

We participate the act of reconciliation, called our Confession of Sin, which is spoken in open Communion with others. It is not a specific confession of particular sins, but an act of recognition that we can all be better Christians. God alone forgives us our transgressions. Here is the text: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent, for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Having said that, if you choose to consult an Episcopal Priest on a matter of concience, including private confession of sin, all such conversations are held in strictest confidence and will not be divulged to anyone.

We also recognize and engage in the wide spectrum of Episcopal expression of the Daily Office, including EvenSong and Seasonal worship such as Lessons and Carols.

We adhere to the BROAD tradition of Episcopal worship, engaging in time honored liturgical worship, valuing great music, yet open to new ways to understand our relationship with God and one another, ALWAYS and IN ALL WAYS.

Women fully particpate in all aspects of Grace Episcopal Church, as they have in Episcopal Church life as a whole. Women may choose to serves as Deacons, Nuns, or Priests as God has seen fit to call them. Women, by the Grace of God have been elected Bishop in Apostolic Sucession in this, The Bishops' Church.

We at Grace Church live in the present, love and respect our past and tradition, but our eyes and hearts are clearly focused on evangelizing the word of God and the Episcopal Mission into the Twenty First Century.

We are a Socially Concerned Church which offers accommodations to those differently abled with easy access to our Sanctuary and Wallis fellowship room.
We also welcome ALL who wish to worship our Lord, free of bias. We recognize and accept each person's unique contribution to the body of Christ.

We treasure Children and thus provide Christian Education, Social Events, monthly Children's Services and a Nursery to encourage Family participation in a safe, supportive and loving atmosphere,

Our renowned music program includes a Great Moeller pipe Organ and voluntary Choir which performs at the our Family Eucharist each Sunday. We believe the gift of music uplifts and inspires us in worship and inclines our hearts to the Lord.

We wish remind you that ALL Baptized Christians, no matter your denomination, are welcome to partake in the Eucharist of both bread and wine at Christ's Communion table in Grace Episcopal Church.

We encourage all who seek comfort to come to us, and share our joy in the love of Christ.

Whether you are a pilgrim or sojourner, you are welcome to: Come, Grow with Us!
